The Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence Awards presented by Qantas

Terms & Conditions

  1. You must meet all of these criteria to be eligible to enter:
      1. You are a woman (or nominating a woman) who is either an Australian citizen or has Australian residency status.
      2. You (or your nominee) are not an employee of Nine Entertainment Co. Holdings Limited and its related bodies corporate (Nine Group) or any partner or sponsor associated with the program, an AFR Women of Influence judge or direct supplier of the 100 Women of Influence Awards.
      3. If entering the Business Enterprise category, your business must have been operating for at least 36 months as at Monday, June 30, 2019.
      4. If entering (or being nominated for) the Young Leader Award, you will be aged 30 years or younger as at Tuesday, 22 October, 2019.
  2. All employees of Qantas Airways Limited ABN 16 009 661 901 are ineligible to enter the Financial Review 100 Women of Influence Awards.  Employees of the Nine Group and agencies and companies associated with this competition are not eligible to enter.
  3. Entries open on Wednesday 29 May 2019 and close on Friday 5 July 2019 (at 5pm AEST).
  4. Entries must be completed online as described on afrwommenofinfluence.com.au and provide the information as set out in the criteria for a valid entry.
  5. There is no cost to submit an entry.

  7. Each entrant must supply contact details for the awards, to whom requests for further information, or update on the status of the entry before or after the close date, will be directed.
  8. An entrant may submit multiple entries (for different categories) but may only submit one entry for a single category.  If multiple entries are received for one woman (from the same source), in one category the last submission will be accepted.  If multiple entries are received for one woman (from different sources), in one category, the entries will be combined.
  9. Entries in every category may be verified by the judging panel, e.g. by way of a request for further information.
  10. An entrant can be nominated by a third party, and in this case the person submitting the entry must obtain the consent of the person they propose to enter, prior to submitting the entry form.
  11. Entrants must be prepared to meet reasonable requests for additional information from the judging panel and its representatives.
  12. The judging panel reserves the right to make a special award that falls outside the prescribed categories, where, in the opinion of the judging panel the entrant merits recognition not covered by the prescribed categories.
  13. The judging panel reserves the right not to give an award in a category if there is not a suitable entrant.
  14. Additional information not forming part of the entry form may be submitted as additional attachments via the nomination platform, but not submitted unless directly requested by the judges.
  15. All or any information regarding entrants which are provided by the entrant or person nominating the entrant may be featured in any channel and/or publication of the Nine Group at its sole discretion.
  16. Category winners are asked to make themselves available for publicity and may be asked to participate in the promotion of the awards in 2020.
  17. Information from entries, including name, job title, category of entry and photo will be featured on a 100 Women Of Influence Alumni Page, hosted on afrwomenofinfluence.com.au and the afr.com – print, digital and social and also appear on screen and in the program at the 100 Women of Influence Awards Night
  18. Entrants and those submitting entries on behalf of others may be contacted by the Nine Group with information about the awards or special offers from the Nine Group  and or the program’s presenting partners.
  19. The decision of the judges is final.
  20. The Nine Group  and sponsors accept no responsibility for entry submissions not received for any reason.
  21. Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  22. Winners (in each category) will be announced at the awards event to be held in Sydney on Tuesday 22 October 2019 and subsequently in Nine Group channels and/or publications.
  23. Any information provided in relation to the 100 Women of Influence Awards, to the extent that it constitutes personal information under the Privacy Act 1988, will be governed by the Fairfax Media Privacy Policy located http://www.fairfax.com.au/privacy.html and these terms and conditions. All entrants and persons who nominate an entrant are bound by the Fairfax Media Privacy Policy.
  24. All entrants and persons who nominate an entrant acknowledge that Fairfax Media Publications Pty Ltd has engaged Korn Ferry to assist with the judging process for the 100 Women of Influence Awards and that Qantas is the presenting partner of the 100 Women of Influence Awards. All entrants and persons who nominate them consent to all information from entries, including name, job title, category of entry and photo being provided to Korn Ferry for purposes related to the judging process.
  25. These terms and conditions are governed by the law in New South Wales, Australia and each entrant and person nominating an entrant submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia and courts of appeal from them.
  26. Past entrants are welcome to enter again. The Entrant who have been selected as the overall winner in any past year is ineligible to be nominate, enter or be selected again. Entrants who have been selected as category winners may enter again under in a different category
